After installing and activating a theme, test your website and browse around your website to verify you have not broken anything. If you have a dedicated tester, your tester should instantly carry out regression tests to verify that your website is still performing as intended.
Some things to look out for when installing a new theme include the following…
- Does the new theme (and your website) work well with your images and thumbnails?
- Does the new theme (and your website) work well with the theme’s ‘recommend’ Plugins and extension (if any)?
- Does the new theme (and your website) work well with your existing Plugins and extension (if any)?
- Check if the theme is compatibility with your Page Builder (if you have one)
- If you are not pleased with the new theme, then you can rollback your website to the version you had before installing the theme. You need the database that you backed up in the Steps to do Before Installation to rollback.
