### A

#### Area of a circle

Formula = $$\pi r^2$$.
Where,
r = the radius of the circle, and
$$\pi$$ = a constant with approximate 3.142.
Unit of measurement = cubic unit, e.g $$cm^2$$

#### Area of a cuboid

Formula = 2WL + 2LH + 2WH.
That is, (2 * W * L) + (2 * L * H) + (2 * W * H):
Where,
W = the width of the cuboid, and
L = the length of the cuboid, and
H = the height of the cuboid.
Unit of measurement = cubic unit, e.g $$cm^2$$

#### Area of a parallelogram

Formula = b * h.
Where,
b = the base of the parallelogram, and
h = the perpendicular height of the parallelogram.
Unit of measurement = cubic unit, e.g $$cm^2$$

#### Area of a rectangle

Formula = L * B.
Where,
L = the length of the rectangle, and
B = the breadth of the rectangle.
Unit of measurement = cubic unit, e.g $$cm^2$$

#### Area of a square

Formula = $$a^2$$.
Where,
a = the length of one of the sides of the square.
Unit of measurement = cubic unit, e.g $$cm^2$$

#### Area of a trapezium

Formula = $$\frac{1}{2}$$h * (a + b)
Where,
a and b = the 2 parallel sides of the trapezium, and
h = the perpendicular height of the trapezium.
Unit of measurement = cubic unit, e.g $$cm^2$$

#### Area of a triangle

Formula = $$\frac{1}{2}$$b*h.
Where,
b = the base of the triangle, and
h = the height of the triangle.
Unit of measurement = cubic unit, e.g $$cm^2$$
